Energy supply is simply the delivery of converted gases or fuels to the end of use. It potentially includes the generation, transmission, production, distribution as well as the supply of electricity. It is sometimes also known as non-exchangeable energy. This is because the supply of energy does not conflict with other types of energy like the demand for it. In fact, the opposite is true since the use of energy supplies can significantly reduce the impact on the environment of other forms of energy produced and utilized.

It is one of the most promising forms of renewable energy because of its many advantages over traditional methods of generating electricity. These potential benefits can clearly outweigh any costs or risks associated with investing in alternative energy sources.
Although there may be some uncertainty regarding the future supply of fossil fuel, it is clear that this source has no close relationship with the quantity of energy supplied today. In fact, there are several predictions regarding the future availability of coal based energy. Although a majority of scientists agree that there will be a decreasing quantity of coal over the coming years, there is still a large majority of people who support its use. With an increasing amount of uncertainty about how much coal will be required the debate surrounding the future quantity of coal in the energy supply may never end. Increasing awareness of the quantity and quality of our energy supply will hopefully provide a clearer picture as to whether or not coal is an energy source worth using.
